Making your Personality a Business Brand

Business personality plays an important role in the success and failure of many  business. As we all know personality is the behaviour, character traits and qualities of an individual that makes him different from others. Though you are in small business, have you ever thought what makes you different? Differentiating yourself from your competitors, raising a bar in the eyes of your employees and clients is something that builds a strong image for your company’s brand image. If you look at Steve jobs, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Donald Trump their personality tells much more about their organisational culture and a strong image of theirs in the eyes of their employees and how they act on each day in business scenario to enhance their company brand.

You might have come across instances where your own employees don't talk very good enough about yourself as being the boss and your company's culture, just because their perceptions has failed what they had assumed when they enter for the first time into your company. Haven't they?  or have you ever tried to find out the reason of their behaviour? May be not.

A great boss reveals great personality. He is the one setting standards for his peers and employees and even to his clients. Just because you invested money into the business and have a leather chair to relax then after and hired someone to do your job is not enough. Building a strong culture start from your own initiatives. Getting to colleagues and speaking sometimes informally also helps to build a strong image in employees and  build a trust relationship.

Productive business relation exists where there is mutual understanding and support for each other. Trusting your employees and giving a boost in their work helps to generate more productive efforts from your own employees in the long run.

Same way your business personality tells very much to your clients. How you take them in the beginning while making sales and then after ignoring them just because you have filled your pockets with the completed order create a huge difference in customer’s viewpoint.  Taking feedbacks from your clients about the services and product you offer feel them attached to your company and a sense of belongingness generates. Giving them exceptional customer service is the backbone of how you have managed efficient employee’s portfolio.  Setting ethos for your company and standing affirmed for its success and implementation create good standard practices to your company’s operational and long term success.

To me business personality and being a boss should have some of the  characteristics to  believe on which I am listing if it can be of some assistance to you.

1) Quick Decision Maker
2) Leader and a manager
3) Helpful/ Creative/ Policy maker
4) Customer Focussed
5) Confident and Intelligence
6)  Employees Skill Developer and Communicator
7) Energetic and Aggressive Promoter
8) Optimist and Example Setter
9) Stylish and Smart
10) Achiever

Your small business can be different from others not because you don’t have big products to offer or reasonable rates for your clients, but due to your own image to your clients and your employees and to your community as well on the whole.  Remember your business personality is in its own a brand which carries your company logo and its culture  everywhere. So better why not to make a personality which tells your company culture and your personal traits which you have created with so much enthusiasm and which you believe to stand on everyday.
